ROBERT, ROBIN & APRIL
ROBERT CORDOBA
Robert has been dancing, teaching, performing, choreographing, and judging for over forty years. He began competing in International Latin at the age of sixteen when he was a member of two U.S. International Latin American formation teams (placing 5th and then taking the 3rd place bronze medal at the World Ballroom Formation Team Championships). He lived and trained in London for two years and was a top U.S Amateur competitor representing the US at events throughout Europe until he switched to West Coast Swing in 1990. Within two years he won his first U.S. Open Swing Dance Champion title.
For the past thirty five years Robert has averaged approximately forty weekends per year traveling around the world to teach West Coast Swing. His impressive list of accomplishments includes: 2 World Championship titles, 7 U.S. Open titles, 4 consecutive N.A.S.D.E. titles, multiple Champion & Invitational level J&J and Strictly Swing titles, and he was the first person to win 3 consecutive US Open titles.
Robert is a member of an elite core of less than 10 dancers who have won BOTH the Showcase and the Classic Divisions at the U.S. Open. He is a California Swing Dance Hall of Famer, Dallas D.A.N.C.E. Hall of Famer and a World Swing Dance Hall of Famer.
Robert Cordoba has judged every major event including the U.S. Open multiple times. He has been a head judge, MC and DJ at events throughout the U.S., Europe, South America and the South Pacific. He is among the first group of professionals to help get West Coast Swing scenes established in New York & East Coast (early 1990’s), Europe (mid 1990’s) and South Pacific (early – mid 2000’s).
Robert is a Master Certified Instructor through G.P.D.I.A. and provides teacher training. In addition, Robert is also a certified “Master Chief Judge” though WSDC.
Robert is currently living in Deerfield Beach, Florida and is available for privates, workshops, intensives, coaching, choreography, judging and G.P.D.I.A. Teacher Certification.

ROBIN LANDRY
Robin’s passion for dance began at age 4 with ballet and jazz. As a young adult, she discovered tap while continuing her jazz training. Her journey then led her to Salsa, Cha Cha, Bachata, Country Two Step, and line dancing. Eventually, she discovered West Coast Swing, fell in love with it, and began competing in 2016.
Robin continued to grow as a dancer through private lessons, competitions, and by learning both leader and follower roles. She began teaching after earning her GPDIA teacher training certification.
Robin & Robert Cordoba host a monthly dance called Swing Groove in West Palm Beach and Pompano. Robin also DJ’s locally at monthly dances including Swing Groove in West Palm Beach, South Florida Swing Dance Society, Gold Coast Ballroom, and the South West Florida Swing Dance Club. Nationally Robin has spun tunes at the Anchorage Swing Dance Club, Swustlicious, C.A.S.H. Bash and Swing and Shag Beach Bash.
In 2024, Robin became co-event director of Florida Dance Magic
APRIL PRINCE
April Prince has been an active member of the west coast swing dance community for over 25 years. She has spent years sharing her love of west coast swing as a DJ, event director, and instructor.
April was a dance competitor in the classic and showcase division of west coast swing, holding multiple placements in showcase. She was also an instructor in the Chicagoland area for over 15 years. April retired from teaching and performing dance but loves to share her passion for west coast swing dancing though organizing events and local dances.
DJ experience: April has DJ’d at many national dance events including The US Open, Summer Hummer, Easter Swing, Bridgetown Swing, Meet Me In St Louis, Boogie by the Bay, Phoenix 4th of July, Desert City Swing, Austin Rocks, DCSX, Austin Rocks, Swinging New England, Tampa Bay Classic, Midwest Westie Fest, River City Swing, Swingapalooza, Florida Dance Magic, Boston Tea Party Swings, and Show Me Showdown!
Local Dances: In the Chicago area, April founded and continues to run West Coast Wednesdays and The Mix Dance.
Awards: April is a Global Swing DJ Hall of Fame recipient.
Education: April has a bachelors and masters degree in music education.
Events: April is the event director of Swing City Chicago, The Chicago Classic, and co-event director of Floorplay Swing Vacation and Florida Dance Magic
